Our Partnership with Salvation Army
This year, we launched Health in Hand, which includes text-first, on demand telehealth, a blood chemistry screening, and Know-How health education – all at your fingertips!
Our Health in Hand team recently visited Salvation Army’s Lambuth Family Center in August for an event to register the families who live there. These families lack stable housing and are focused on finding a long-term living solutions and consistent
employment. 365 Health has partnered with Salvation Army to provide Health in Hand at no cost. We are grateful to have registered 30 people who will now benefit from Health in Hand.
One 365 Health team member spoke with a single mother who is currently staying at Salvation Army with her four kids. She is eligible for Medicaid but registered in another state. Because she does not have stable housing, she has been unable to register for Medicaid in Colorado. Recently, when her child had an ear infection, she had to delay treatment because of a lack access to affordable health services. When the infection got worse, she was forced to go to the emergency room for costly treatment.
Now, with Health in Hand, if she faces a similar scenario she can text a doctor, immediately receive a response, and get a prescription, all with no co-pay or fees – saving time and money and avoiding unneeded discomfort for her child.
