Participant FAQs

So, you’ve decided to attend a 365 Health Fair, but you still have questions. Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions from people just like you.

What screenings are offered?

Every Health Fair location offers bloodwork for a small fee. In addition, most fair sites offer a variety of preventive health screenings like blood pressure, breast exams, mental health, vision, etc. For a detailed description of our affordable screenings, please see our available screenings.

I have insurance. Is it still necessary to attend?

Yes! Even if you have insurance you might find that our lab work provides more information than your normal providers typically order. Some participants report that the co-pay to make a doctor’s visit often costs more than a lab screening at a Health Fair. You can also take advantage of a variety of free screenings.

I’m healthy, so why should I attend?

When you own your health, you are taking control of your life and your future. You could gain peace of mind knowing that the way you are feeling is actually what is happening in your body. You could also find a health issue where symptoms are not present. Early detection can add years to your life.

What if I find something that needs additional care?

365 Health Fair will call you within 24-72 hours if you have a critical or alert out-of-range value in any of your lab results. Our medical professionals will recommend what follow-up care to seek, and can help you find resources to follow-up care if you do not have a primary care physician.

Is 365 Health Fair only for the under privileged who can’t afford to go to the doctor?

No. 365 Health Fair is for everyone. We have the supplies and resources to serve everyone who attends. Our mission is to reach as many people as possible to help them take ownership of their health. We have a special voucher program for those who cannot afford screenings at 365 Health Fair.

How can I find a site near me?

To find a 365 Health Fair near you, visit the Find a Fair page. You can search for a fair by city, county, zip code, date, or screening. You can also call our hotline at (303) 698-4455 or (800) 332-3078.

Do I need to fast, and are my results affected if I don't?

No. You do not need to fast before attending a 365 Health Fair. If you choose to skip fasting, your glucose and triglyceride levels may appear out of the normal range on non-fasting blood chemistry results. However, both measures are easily interpreted as non-fasting levels by health care providers. Call our hotline at(303) 698-4455 or (800) 332-3078 for additional information.

Who can participate?

We offer health screenings for adults and children, so bring your whole family. However, blood cannot be drawn on anyone under 18, even with parental consent.

Why does 9News have a health fair?

9News is our media partner, but 365 Health is a separate non-profit organization with the sole mission of providing people with the tools they need to take responsibility for their own health. 365 Health (formerly 9Health Fair) was started as a community service project of 9News in 1980. 365 Health became an independent non-profit in 1987.

Can 2 people use the same email address?

Due to HIPAA (health information privacy law) constraints, we can only send screening results to the person to whom they belong. Since our accounts are tied to email addresses,  each participant needs to have their own email address. There are several very good free email services – it is very easy to set up a new Gmail account and that is the very best way for us to serve you. Otherwise, there is no way to separate your screening results or ensure that an individual’s results get delivered to the correct person.

Can I get a prescription at a 365 Health Fair?

You cannot get a prescription at a Health Fair. However, you can get a prescription with our new, affordable health care option Health in Hand. With it you’ll have unlimited access to a doctor via text-first telehealth. Learn more here

Do I need to provide my social security number for results?

No. Your social security number is not required.

What methods of payment are accepted?

Cash, personal checks, credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, Amex), and HSA cards are accepted at all locations.

Do I need an appointment?

No, but it is recommended for you to register online for our low-cost screenings. Now you can schedule your bloodwork at a specific time! We do still allow walk-ins, so utilize the registration option that works best for you.

Can I fill out the paperwork ahead of time to save time at the fair?

Most of our 365 Health Fair sites offer online registration. This allows you to complete the participant form and pay for screenings online. You can register online for a fair up until the start time of the fair. Just print the form and bring it with you. However, this may not necessarily save you time at the fair. The main advantage of registering online is that your results will be available to you within a week at a secure medical repository online. Further, your results will be available for you to access them at any time.

How can I register online?

First you must find a fair. Once you determine which location you’ll be attending, click the Register Online button to register for that particular site. You can register online up until the fair opens.

Remember online registration payments are non-refundable.

If I don’t register online, how long will it take to get my results?

You will receive your results within two to four weeks.

How much time should I expect to spend at a fair?

Most participants spend about two hours learning about their health. Depending on your interests and the site you choose, your 365 Health Fair experience can take anywhere from 30 minutes to four hours.

What if I don't have a printer?

  1. Come a little earlier so we can get your paperwork ready.
  2. Bring your registration number.

How long does it take to see results?

It typically takes 3 to 5 days for your results to be delivered to you in your online account if you register online, 5-7 days if you register at the event.
